About This Spot
Stepping into Cherrywood Kitchen feels a little like slipping into a cherished corner of the neighborhood where familiar faces are paired with the comforting clink of coffee cups and the subtle hum of friendly conversation. Nestled in the heart of Netley, this brunch spot carries a quiet, easygoing rhythm that invites you to slow down and savor the moment, whether you’re popping in for a morning pick-me-up or lingering with an afternoon latte.
The atmosphere here is warm and unpretentious, touched with thoughtful details that make you feel instantly welcome—soft natural light, cozy seating, and an attentive, yet relaxed, pace. It’s the kind of place where the staff quickly become more than just servers; they’re part of the experience, attentive to the small things that make your visit feel personal. This caring touch extends beyond just the people to every plate and cup that comes out of the kitchen.
Here, brunch is an event marked by honest, well-crafted flavors that take familiar favorites and gently elevate them. Whether it’s the indulgence of a full English breakfast crafted with careful ingredient choices, or lighter, inventive touches like the Japanese omelette or perfectly creamy avocado paired with a poached egg, each dish feels thoughtfully prepared. The menu has a quietly confident balance—from comforting toasties to the unexpected hint of smoked ham hock or pulled pork—that invites you to explore without pressure, lingering over a cup of expertly made coffee or a rich, velvety hot chocolate.
People return to Cherrywood not just for the food, but for the steady feeling of belonging it fosters. The space feels both like a cherished discovery and a place to make new routines. It’s relaxed enough to enjoy a quiet moment alone with a book, yet lively enough to share laughs and stories with friends or family, with a welcoming pet-friendly policy that adds to its neighborly charm.
For those discovering Cherrywood Kitchen for the first time, it is less about the rush and more about the slow unfolding of a genuine experience—a place that quietly but surely earns its place in the rhythm of daily life here in Netley.

I was in Netley for a week, and this became a daily haunt. Unusually for cafes, it stays open until 5pm most days, which allowed me to enjoy a late coffee (and cake!). Good coffee, nice selection of cakes, and the Cheesy Ham Hocky toastie is sublime. Friendly staff, remembered my order after the first visit. Thanks!

Just an absolutely delightfully culinary experience. My only disappointment is that I’ve only discovered Cherrywood now. We will most certainly be back.

We've been wanting to try this little gem for a while. Obviously a popular place at the weekend as it was nearly full when we arrived on Sunday morning. We had the Japanese omelette which was quite tasty and the halloumi bap with red pepper, also good. Service was friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend

Jason, Laura and the Team serve the best brunch you’ll get anywhere. They use the best ingredients & have ruined breakfast from anywhere else for me! Lovely Moon Roast coffee and brilliant service especially from Kai. They’re also pet friendly - and perfect for a takeaway if you don’t have time to eat in. Such a fabulous establishment and we’re so lucky to have them here in Netley Abbey!

Wonderful cafe! My first visit. We had scrambled eggs on sourdough toast with a pot of tea and it was absolutely delicious! Really busy in there and the staff were great, thank you so much!

Surprising little find in Netley. A blend of traditional and modern with some American influences. It's obvious someone cares about this place because it feels professional but not formal and stiff. Food was good, even when we went on Sunday.
